clubs and societies - New year expense!

OK so it is nearly time to sign up again for all the clubs and societies necessary to enjoy the horse for another year.
I shall be joining:-
The British Horse society £58
Midlands Carriagedriving £45 for 2 family members -seems good value.
British Carriagedriving, Associate couple £119 this gives insurance for me and the OH at home and at events.
I've given up the breed society memberships.
Luckily with driving you don't have to register the horse.

So what clubs and societies do you belong to? Are they value for money and does the cost restrict what you do with your horse?

uKPA £60
Local PX club £40
Insurance for horses £450 (am seriously re thinking it though)

Maybe I should have put this in comps and training, but i really would be interested in how many clubs and societies HHOers belong to and how much you spend on it.

Horsey ones ... BHS Gold membership, local riding club £40p/a (and well worth it tbh). Own a pedigree animal but don't belong to the breed society. Otherwise some non horsey ones .... Nat Trust, camera club and (ducks below parapet before admitting it ....) the caravan club! But I agree OP, when you add it all up, it is pretty costly. Maybe time for a rethink .... Bored with that caravan anyway ....

I hadn't even thought about the non horsey ones! We both have a professional membership that goes out in the middle of January, about £400, oh god, must check.

BHS Gold at, what £65 a year? Plus RC membership renewal at £25. Not too horrendous.
