Not me unfortunately as I am in awe at these heavy breeds and owned a shire many years ago.
However, last weekend I visited the Rare Breeds Heritage Show at Bury Farm, Beds and spent along time talking to a couple who were there showing their magnificent dapple grey stallion 'Deighton Silver Treasure' or 'Jack' for short(19hh).
Paul & Yvonne Simmons from Mordearg Heavy Horses would be my first choice for contact. Passionate and committed to the breed, their enthusiasm and knowledge would be of huge benefit to anyone looking to take on a shire. Just google their name for contact info.

Ah thats fab thankyou so much, ive heard of the 'Deighton' name. i will look them up.

Also Cotebrook Shire sometimes has youngsters for sale, as well as stallions at stud. They're just down the road from me, and their stallions are gorgeous!
