Clydesdale racing??!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is a gala in Scotland that has races for all horses and ponies including heavy horses - it is an awesome thing to experience these beautiful big creatures galloping towards down the track! You can feel them coming a mile off. The gala is special in that it only allows horsedrawn floats so the heavies pull the floats through the streets and then get to let off steam on the racetrack :-) Trying to think where it is though....

My hubby has a Belgian draft and he is scary fast!!! Really scary. And agree with the man in the video you can feel the ground move. :D lovely animals

But they're only carthorses. They can't really gallop? :) :) :)

Cracking versatile breed, maybe now people will realise they're so much more than just draft horses.

It's in Irvine, in August. It's called Marymass, great fun, I've taken part in the parade a couple of times. Not brave enough for the races though!

They are impressive at speed.

Shame they were referred to as 'Clydesdale shire horses' in the text.

Martin Clueless seems a bit biased, considering his position in the equestrian world.
