Hi all!

BF's springer is due to have her pups on Sunday 18th and I am bringing her to my house today with whelping box etc as his sister isn't great with gooey things(!!) as he's away working til monday. Plan was to bring her home a week before so she could settle in, nest etc etc (she is often here visiting)

I've just had a text from his sister to advise Hazel is panting and the floor is wet in the kitchen, Not pee.

Can they have a false labour? Or am I hopping out of bed an heading over there right now??!!!

Thanks all!

I'd get your skates on. Six days early would worry me. False pregnancies, I suppose like false-labours, if they exist, would happen to a bitch which wasn't in pup, not one which was.

I now see that you posted half an hour ago, is there any news?

Alec.

If she is due on Sunday she could quite possibly be whelping today. My bitch was mated twice and is due either today or Thursday, I have been ready for something to happen for a week. Having said that my Evie has been panting on and off for a couple of days (although getting pretty near now I reckon), so your BF's bitch may have a little while to go yet. However I would be getting her moved over to you fairly quickly so she has chance to settle down.

Well they're here and fine!! All born between 3.10 and 6.30 last night- 24 hours old an totally gorgeous, very loud and mobile!!
