Can anyone recommend and outdoor coat that's waterproof and warm and around the £40?

Just to be worn when riding at uni and going to a friend for shows really..

Thank you!

i'd go to TK Maxx and get a ski jacket... got one there last week, a really really nice totally waterproof, lightweight but really warm Maier one, for £39.99, for riding in.
if you go to a tackshop and start looking at Musto etc, it will be a lot more than that, unfortunately.

i got a lovely olive padded fleece lined water repellent jacket from the barbour outlet for £20, any outlet shops near you?

Thanks for the advice guys but I'm at univeristy now so transport is a bit of a problem! Luckily I've found a Harry Hall one with free delivery off of Country Supplies(hopefully they're good!)

Horsewear Rambo do a coat called The Corrib Jacket. Its about £40. I brought one last year and have worn it loads. Its waterproof, has hood and a fleece lining.

Seconded re TK Max, got a very expensive Lowe Alpine jacket there last year reduced from £180 to £40, the reason? A bit of flourescent trim on the front made it less attractive to the sk ing fraternity.

The other alternative is equestrian clearance, well worth a look.

Dublin Empress Jacket. I got one lats week, and it;s so warm!

Got a fleece lining, 100% waterproof (I tested it lol), and easy to wipe clean. I think mine was about 32 pounds.

i think joules have some blousons in their sale, really nice!!! and not too expensive
