Hi everyone, Im new and this is my first post here, so please be gentle lol. I have had my cob for a year now, he is 14.2, I think quite nicely proportioned and is lovely under saddle, I want to show him locally this year, my only concern is the thickened skin he has :( how badly will he be penalised for this? Is there anything I can do to reduce its appearance? Any showing tips will be gratefully recieved, thank you!

I do county cobs, not 100% sure on local, but local he should be fine with his thickened skin - it will depend on the day/judge and competition your against wether hes put down for this - only one way to find out!
He wont be ridden by judge so your be doing a indvidual show, keep it short and sweet and inc a gallop
And turnout yourselfs out to the highest standard you can, clean tack, white socks etc etc
Best of luck for your shows :) he looks lovely, my only negative would be he may be a little on the small side at 14.2 against others imo BUT you wont know till you ve had a go
