Coblet went solo XC!!! *video*

Fab - did I see a little swerve before one jump - only noticed it as it looks very familiar this end !! hahaha, you both did great :D

Yeah sorry about the phone issue, YouTube won't let me change it

Thanks for the lovely comments, really proud of him! He used to tank off really badly and napp and rear, today has been the first time he had been on a 'big' cross country course on his own, our next task is in a group! I used to take him to a mini course, which is in only about an acre of land, all enclosed and really friendly which he was great at an jumped everything I there but I felt we needed to do it sometime, have a new bit to try and the more I do it the more he's going to think it's just another part of life, the same thing I had to do with his hacking and show jumping!

Shysmum- yes it was a very cheeky swerve before the bank! He usually does that then actually runs out, but then realised he wasn't going to get away with it!! :p

The Swerve must be in the genes, as Shy does excellent ones at full blast when he thinks a blade of grass is in his way. Used to come out the side door every time, but not any more, hehehehe !

Haha it's Gypsy's favourite trick! He's only ever managed to get me off once doing it, where he swerved away from a 3ft filler, and jumped the 3'6 guide pole sideways instead  then did a side to side jumpy thing, then I went out the side door!

I'm fully prepared for it now, and can prevent a lot of swerving, but back then he'd get me off, then come and stand by me munching, with the look of "you ok down there - nice day isn't it".

Coblets and their nappiness, eh - gotta love them for it ;)

Mine took napping to the extreme  he wouldn't even hack out in company, would rear and gallop back  used to have to be led everywhere, even between arenas, then not let go until all gates were closed

He's 100000X better now though, and love him to pieces :D

He went round there so nicely, I didn't know of his history of naughtiness til after I'd watched the vid, hard to believe after watching that. You must be so pleased, well done.

Thank you! I can't believe he's the same pony myself either! He was a real star, even got him cantering away from my mum (he's attached to her like glue, like he's safe with her) and did a few jumps in a completely different field to her and out of sight! :D
