I am still trying to regain my previous fitness level after having my son and I have been doing a lot of work without stirrups to improve on my sitting trot.

The problem I am having is that I have a really sore coccyx and sore lower back after riding. I have previously injured my coccyx twice so I think it's easily aggravated anyway.

Can anyone offer some advice? Are there are gadgets out there I could try to help support my tail bone or maybe I am doing something wrong?

I have the same problem due to an accident, it's been months since I've ridden, I bought myself a gel saddle pad and a pair of sprenger stirrups, both are reputed to help, can't wait to try them, all I need is my boy to come sound

Agree with the seatsaver, but when you try it don't forget it needs to warm up before it works. When you first get on they feel like a board.. in the end we used to put a hot water bottle on it!

You have my full sympathy with a coccyx injury, two days before I took my AI I slipped downstairs and badly bruised mine, I was in agony all through the exam.

Ive just ordered an acavllo seat saver. I after 2 sections have a mis aligned pelvis which results in an in direct manor to concussion to my lower back ( due to ignoring pain for several yrs) will let you know if it helps
