ok ok - i KNOW i spoil my dogs :o but i have aerborn thermalux wicking rugs to put on the lab and old spangle after working or on really cold nights :o

but i have to get the cocker something - esp as he's the biggest whimp in the world - prob from his initial upbringing as a townie who was never walked  anyway - i'm not sure what rug will fit as hes long and narrow... should i go for a whipet rug?! we tried to measure him (although he thought we were trying to kill him lol!) and he's 50cm from front of shest to tail:eek: but his neck/waist is tiny!!

he's really slender and all legs... i've not got a recent piccies but this is him last year with his first picked birds and you can see his size

I have a springer of a silmilar shape. He's leggy, but is long and narrow!
The best rug I have brought for him is a Barbour one from the Countrystore. Although I am sure they do them online too!
I got him the quilted one (to match my ex's coat haha!) but they do wax etc too...very stylish for posh paws!!! But hard wearing and fit well, and dry quickly too!

thank G_R - will look into them :D

and i'll keep Ruby posted with what i buy Coal :D

so far i'm thinkign the thermalux again... or a hotterdog fleece (althougfh have one of them for old spangle and not that warm) or a whippet flcce rug off ebay....

All ours have the Aerborn Thermalux for after working. The Cockers are Extra Medium, and Otto was XXMedium, but now he is a Large! :D

I'm sure I've said it before, but he is a very handsome boy! :D

coal says thank you

thats good to know re: the aerborn as i do love them for the other two - i was just worried they'd pull back on his teeny tiny shoulders bless him!!

Pippin thinks he's beautiful. :D

I thought cockers were meant to be hardy. There was a frost this morning baby and I were wrapped up to the eyeballs and Pip looked at me like...Traitor!
And jumped in a puddle that looked shallow and swam out, ambushed some deer in the bushes and generally looked a mess when we got home.

hello pippen :D

well - update - harpley equestrian (who do the exact copies of the aerborn cool leg wraps for horses but at a greatly reduced price btw ;)) do an exact copy of the aerborn dog rug :D so ordered one for Mr Coal - i shall obviouslyt post piccies for his fan club once it arrives :D:D

Harpley equestrian are aerborn!! Well they were until they sold the brand, so it's not a copy, it's the real thing!!

ah-haaaa i wondered the politics - they used to advertise saying 'same factory as aerborn' but stopped doing that - so i did wonder what it was all about lol
i've actually asked them if they can make a matching neck cover for a thermalux rug i gave to a friend :D she's desparate for a neck cover to go with but the aerborn ones are expensive - so i feel a good xmas present coming up :D:D

my 2 have the equifleece ones if they dont have an "off the peg" one to fit they will make one up - the ones that pull over the head and have front legs seem the best they dont slip and are easy to get on

yeah i've seen them but being a boy i'm not sure he wont pee on them :o they also seem to not end as far back and i really use the rugs mainly to warm up after working so want the whole back coverd :)
but thank you for suggestion :D

I bought a a 3 peaks coat for my Dally pup who is built like a whippet, I bought him the large when he was 5 months old and it's supposed to fit spaniels, they are cut nice and short so might suit your boy :)
