Just interested. Hate the designer dog thing, but someone at work was talking about her friend that has got one, and is struggling with it. Its in it's third home in a year, but sounds as though the owner has too much on their plate already and as though the dog isn't getting enough attention or exercise, which is causing problems. Cogs in my brain going round! Photos appreciated too, we don't even really know what one looks like!
 
I've only seen two, nice little dogs but lived at the grooming parlour! One looked like a golden cocker, except a bit woolier and the other like a poodle with long ears. I shouldn't think temperamentally they will be that different to their parents? I should have though tthey would be intelligent and in need of vast amounts of exercise!

I just had a debate with my brother who doesn't count them as mongrels! And he has had dogs all his life - I despair!

The three poodle crosses I meet regularly on walks (JR x poodle, cockerpoo and labradoodle) are all completely hyper. I always thought maybe it was the poodle bit that did it LOL
 
Its very hard to tell anyone how this cross will turn out, they could favour the poodle side or equally could be all cocker. Anyone who watched that awful Animal Crackers on tv last night will have seen how many variations there can be. Both breeds involved are intelligent, and bred to do a job, so if they aren't trained and given chance to use their brains they will quite likely become a problem. Sorry, not much help I know OP but its just impossible to say.
 
They're both active breeds with brains to burn. Poodles do really well at agility, obedience and there are even poodles doing manwork. I don't know why people think of them as lapdogs. Originally they were water dogs, hence the coat.

Breeding two dogs together doesn't always cancel one issue out, it can amplify it.
 
meet a lot during work and they are all without fail nuts and wooley, the vast majority are very friendly and most are great with kids but all seem to be hyper/mad and really in need of hard work and a job

don't be hatin' on the poodle. Mine is upside down next to the couch, so definitely not fault of the poodle :p
