Coconut Meal Feed

Does anyone on here feed Copra? I am beginning to find small bits of shell in my bags and hearing the crunch my ponies occasionally make is quite sickening. I don't want to change feeds as I really rate the product but would like to hear if others are noticing this too before I contact the company. Tia

I ued it for nearly a year, stopping in April and never once found anything untoward in it. It may be a modern batch thing, I would definitely contact them to query as they may need to recall the batch. It would be helpful if you still have one of the bags, or knew where/when you bought it.

Thanks @AShetlandBitMeOnce, that's what I'm going to do and I still have the 2 bags but they have different batch numbers on them and I buy from a local feed shop. Maybe I have been unlucky?

I fed it some time ago and never found any shell I would be contacting them and letting them know.

I feed it and no shell. I did get one bag where it was clumping together but it was just one and fine once soaked.

I've edited the thread title as I will contact them tomorrow. It is definitely shell, I have collected a few bits in a universal container and added hot water, they haven't dissolved after an hour, they are really hard, darkest brown/black in colour and have an angular shape to them.
