IMO the protein levels in this are dangerously high
Horses can only digest a certain amount of protein ( I think the number stands at 12.5% ) and feeding any more protein than that puts a huge burden on the liver- and the liver becomes toxic and therefore less efficient.
I have been feeding it for a couple of years now and love it. It was brought over from Oz by the event rider that owns Boomerang Stables- Russ Hardy. He is related to the chap that distributes it, Piers Broadhead. If you ring Boomerang (they have a website) he will be able to put you in touch with Piers.
it is quite expensive in this country as it has to be omported and is hardly used in any other animal feeds, but an alternative is full fat soya meal (not Hi-pro, which is oil extracted and smells bad) as its a)lower protein, b)similar oil.fat levels for condition c)cheaper as its used in horse feed, pig feed and some cattle feeds so is more widely available.
if you are set on feeding copra meal, then badminton do a triple crown top-up which is copra fortified with vits and mins.
