I was planning to feed my TB some cod liver oil this year but he's got a very good sense of smell and can suss out when I've added it to his sugarbeet... He's very greedy so he will eat it but I can tell he's not too keen. Can anyone recommend a way of disguising it, especiallu the smell? Thanks!

I personally would not feed cod liver oil to horses, as they are vegetarians

Also think ive read somewhere on here that it does not have the same benefits for horses as it does for humans.

i have read recently that it isnt the best oil to feed. I think they recommended flax or linseed. Spends what you want to use it for i guess. My gelding wouldnt eat his dinner when i tried it years ago.. too much hastle to try and cover it up. I just give him blue chip now as it seems to have all the bits and bobs needed.

why not pass on cob oil and try something that works the same
like veg oil or corn oil or something along them lines its works out cheaper and does the same as cod liver oil would.
