My big Selle Francais Incarna, since vet had me try to new product last month, is going great guns; took(knock wood,) 10 years off him, and apparently it's 100% natural...Here's the link. We also had another vet, an Italian Woman doing a seminar at the national stud, staying at our cottage, say that this product works so well, they're thinking of putting it on a doping list! She swears by it for her older horse clients and even, in smaller doses, for maintence on competing ones(hence the treat of banning it for competition.) My 21 year old is his old scary self when hacking out, light(for a horse measuring 1m78,) and bouncy and forward...Just hope it continues. It must exist in England as well...I did a 3week trial and now am giving the smaller maintence dose and so far so good...

Its a bit easier on a laptop because there's an ENG button at the top of the page that partially translates. The product at the top of the ingredients list is this Lithothamne which I had to look up....

Lithothamne, red alga containing calcium, is collected along the Brittany coastline. Calcium contributes to the normal function of digestive enzymes, to normal blood clotting and to normal neurotransmission

Its also got boswellia in it according to the small print.

And 'innovative products' derived from eggs if google has translated that correctly!

The lithothamne is a red algae related to coral, it is high in calcium carbonate - no magical ingredients ;) Actually, anything which promotes bone formation is the last thing I would consider for horses which are prone to arthritis as it could stimulate more osteogenic activity exactly where you don’t want it.

There is a high proportion of bentonite clay (which appears to be the supplement du jour for every ailment), however as this contains extract of boswellia, I’d bet that this is the “active” ingredient.

Thanks for the translation SEL

Glad it is working for your horse RR.

Ps is Boswellia a banned substance for competing?
