Hi folks!

I am looking in to the Centre of Horseback Combat (Karl Greenwood) confidence day course. It's not cheap and a bit of a road trip but I thought it might help push me through some real mental blocks that hold my riding back. Would anyone who has done this course mind sharing their experience/review of it (via PM if preferred)?

If not this course, any alternative suggestions would also be welcomed. I fancy something a bit different!

An old school friend did it recently and loved the whole thing (someone who used to happily head around a BE100)

I enjoyed the course. It helped change my way of thinking and gave me some tools to reframe scenarios as I’m terrible for over thinking things. I like Karl’s approach and the way he explains things works well for me. I travelled down the night before and stayed at the local guest house they recommend which was lovely.

I went to their weekend course. It was good, but I don't agree with all Karl says. Also had a VERY poor and disappointing experience with them following the course when i asked for my photos on the rearing horse..and I'm not the only one who experienced this. There is a certain amount of what seems to be arrogance and dismissiveness.

I got stuff from it - for me the sitting on a rearing horse was amazing and took away the fear of rearing. I am too old to fall off like a stunt rider so that bit was lost on me, but as part of a process it helps - nothing is magic!!
