Is what Axey felt like yesterday!

Did the Riding Horse class at a local RC show yesterday, and he was really wound up he felt like he was going to explode any minute. He did a couple of massive bucks and sideways jumps and spins, somehow I stayed on!!

Gave the judge a nice ride and I was delighted to be pulled in 6th out of about 20 horses.
Came out with a few extra grey hairs too

Anyone recommend a good calmer ?

Is it a competition thing or a continous thing?
I use Cool, Calm and Collected-google it, wicked stuff and tbh i never gave the full doses recommended, but it just takes the edge off without ruining any sparkle i find

It seems to be a competiton thing, he's fine at dressage comps, but when we have to trot and canter around with others in showing classes he gets really wound up.
He was fine when the judge rode, but that was on his own!

I gave him a calmer that morning but by the time my class was on it was 7 hours later! I probably should have taken it with me and given him some more just before we went in, but I wasn't planning on being there that long!

i feed my CCC night before in feed and on the morning and keeps the edge on her.
Her fav trick was to rear in the line up hasnt done it since she has been on it.
Though seven hours id prob want to give a the calm about 3 hours before!
