unfortunately my daughter gets horrendously cold feet in winter (just like her mum :D) Now I am all sorted for my blocks of ice-Rimfrost riders. What do you all use to keep kids feet warm, particularly when riding? She has been in tears in the past due to them being so cold. She has some fab thermal boots but they have no heel on so cant really ride in them. Ideas please.....

Double layer socks are better than 1 thick pair.
Keep wigglying those toes.

Can't think of too much more, but I know what its like!

maplins did heated socks last year that stayed warm for 4 hours - i dont know how good they are or if they are doing them this year but i could do with a pair of them! but i wore heat holders - but my feet still turned into ice cubes :/ it depends on how long you go up the yard for as if you put your clothes on the radiator or in the tumble dryer before you go out - make sure her feet are warm before you leave! if they are cold then there is nothing to keep them warm all the time she is at the yard other then that maybe buy her some rimfrost rider 2 boots or mountain horse boots im sure you will be able to find some on ebay!

Those toe socks are really good to keep toes moving (you know the ones that look like gloves) - I have the same problem & they have really helped xx

ladies' tights always kept me snug, and my feet are the worst! if it's just her feet, try a couple of pairs of popsocks under thermal socks.

I am a martyr to cold feet...

Having tried lots, I find this works best for me:
Very thin LW pair of ankle socks
Cover with 70 denier tights, careful not to pull them tight over the toes (toes need to move to keep warm)
Top with normal thermal socks from ski-shop.

Add a pair of Woof-type boots.

Good luck with littl'n, she has all my sympathies

I agree with the tights under the jods & socks, makes a hugeee difference. Primark do these really good ones with a fleecy lining for about £2, but that's in the adult section - I never check the kiddies bit though so there might be something similar? Totally understand where she's coming from, I have really bad circulation in my feet and dread winter!

Lots of layers - knee high high denier tights, thin socks, thermal socks over top - hand warmers tucked into boots. You should avoid putting so many socks on that you cannot move your feet - less is usually more. Make sure boots are kept somewhere warm, not out in the cold. Keep moving.

My stepson loves those hated foot pads that go in their shoes - like the throwaway hand warmers. They last about 8hrs. Can't remember their name, but I bought a box off ebay last year..
