Hi!

I am about to purchase a pair of cold water boots (the one you soak in a bucket of water) to use after training. Anyone have any recommendations for styles? Do you get 4 or mainly use on the front legs? I am thinking either the LeMieux ones or PE
Many thanks!

honestly if you can keep ice frozen then I'd go for ice packs or ice boots instead.

mine stay frozen for several hours packed in a cool bag with freezer blocks.

I got the PE ones when my horse damaged his check ligament.
I also had some ice cube bags which bandaged on worked perfectly! I’d recommend that

I got 2 pairs and my horse hated the feeling of them on his back legs and kicked the stuffing out of them (literally) before I could get them off him

I also use ice packs. You can get the ice cube plastic bags which are good as they are flexible to bend round the leg and just use a big boot to put over them.
I had the Premier Equine cold boots and even when soaked in ice water, dont stay cold long or get the leg cold.
Figured if I was taking ice up for the water I might as well just use it on legs.
