3 Weeks ago my girl jumped into the opposite field full of lush grass, when i got her in she started to colic, we had the vet and after having buscapan and bute and no hay all night she was fine. She has been a field where the grazing is restricted by stripping. Last night i got her in and she was fine, i gave her her tea that was no different than normal, Happy hoof, veg oil and garlic, i was stood talking to a friend and she started to paw the ground in her stable, just like last time and got down. She didn't roll but just wanted to lie flat out so i took her out to the menage where she seemed fine her pulse was very slightly up at 46bpm, she is usually 40. After about 20 mins she seemed fine. I don't know what could've caused it and it seems like it is getting a bit regular, the only thing that was different was she had had the chiropracter the night before and had quite a bit of treatment done?? Do you think i should be using a supplement?

If so can you recommend any? She is always f@rting well when she is brought in out of the field! It just seems to come on all of a sudden. I have left her in today, there had been a really bad frost so thought she would be best off it this morning.

Sorry its a long post, but any opinions greatly appreciated!

My Welshie has had a couple of episodes of colic, but since keep ing him on a mint supplement he's been fine **she says touching wood**. Prob a good idea to keep her off the frosted grass today. I know other people on here also recommend a product but I can't for the life of me remember it. I'm sure someone will be along shortly to recommend it.

I think the product is coligone......I've just started using it, as my boy had colic twice in a week just recently.
I have also got some homeopathic remedies incase he starts again. Last time i gave him nux vom- it was all i had- and he seemed to respond a bit so i am hopefull the new ones may help him. Also lots of products with fennell are available, and glabal herbs do a specific suppliment.
I couldn't work out what caused it in him, nothing had changed, so i feel for you

I hope you get it sorted.
