Already posted in my colic thread I know, but there might be someone with experience of these belts who hasn’t seen it.

My pony is 5.5 weeks post colic surgery, and has a large incisional hernia. He’s just been fitted with a CM hernia belt, but it slips back and he keeps weeing on/in it!

Any tips please for using them with geldings??

Thank you!

He only needed the covering when there wasn't staff about. So this was during the day. You can see the lifted it right at the back to try and stop it slipping over his wink.
Otherwise, i spotted when he was gonna pee and just moved it back slightly

Thanks BB this is really helpful. I crossed over the back straps to help lift it a bit, but it created a lump under the rings. I hadn’t thought of lifting the back!

Yes I’ll try the plastic bag too. Even if I still need to take it off and wipe him clean, at least I won’t need to fully launder the belt each time..!
