Colic surgery wound healing - photo diary

Thought i'd share these photos of Chicos colic surgery incision as it has been healing over the last 4 weeks.

Day 1 - Colic surgery

Day 7 - first day after bandage removed.

Day 14 - stitches removed.

Day 21 - hair regrowing

Day 28 - redness reducing rapidly

I will continue to take photos each week.

His healing so far has been text book and he has been fortunate not to have any infection, weeping, bleeding etc.

Hope it may be of interest to some people

edited to ad - I havent cleaned, wiped, applied cream or anything at any point. Just left it to its own devices and kept a close eye on it.

Yes, thanks for your updates and so please Chico is progressing nicely. Unfortunately my daughter lost her first pony to colic several years ago and surgery wasn;t an option for him.
