Today was a normal day, and my old boy (30) went out into the field as fresh as a daisy!! Trotted off, rolled and grazed..
But this evening i went to bring him in and i could see the moment i set eyes on him something was wrong
. Whilst he normally runs in, he was stood with his head low down and wasn't moving, like it hurt to move.
I walked him in, at this point i was v worried,he wasn't dragging me to the lush grass and generally being rude like normal. He stood in the stable for a moment and started to paw the ground and try to roll at this point i held his head up and called the vet.
She came within an instant and has given him two injections, one for pain and the other to disburse whatever gas there is in hos stomach. After approx 20 mins he seemed alot better so i'm just about to go down again to check on him.
I thought i would post on here so you could send some healing vibes to my boy, so he has a quick recovery.
I love this horse so much, i've had him for 16 years and he has done everything with me, from HOYS to eventing at the grand old age of 28.
Heres a lovely piccy of him at Marchington (28)
