My mare has taken colic now 3 times since july her recent bolt was today well she wasnt in full colic just off but still eating pooibg and drinking but took her to a lesson but she just did not want to move and when she did she went at a million mph so allow she can be nappy i knew this was more than a nap she obviously has a sore tummy. but im just at a lose as to what to do with her. she normally would have been out to grass most of day brought in at night and gave a hay net but now im thinking da best option maybe is to leave ber out 24/7? Has anyone else had a colicer and what did they do regarding diet and work load?

One of mine colics
After his second bout we ran bloods and then trailed gastroguard to rule
Out ulcers, the. He went for a work up at vets x I would
Def consider speaking to
Vets , how old is ur mare?

If the vet thinks it could be due to ulcers the best thing is to get her scoped, this will be better than just giving her the very expensive gastroguard which will be required to treat them, if she has them you will know once she is scoped, if she does not you can try other routes.
I had one scoped recently, he was clear, it saved a lot of unnecessary expense and he is now managed slightly differently as I feel he is sensitive to acidity, careful feeding and routine seems to be making a real difference.
