Will be getting her in trailer, so being a novice about this (travelling foals I mean) can I have a bit of advice?
She is coming from Wales (Flintshire) so will be a failry long journey.
Travel loose with lots of straw and no partition?
Have breaks or just do the whole thing in one go?
I'm not towing, have a fella and friend's trailer, but will be with them obviously.

Also, on arrival, she will be sectioned off from my two so they can acquaint over fence, until we know she is good to catch and is used to them (can't see a problem with the two horses as they are gentle souls)

Also! A friend will be weaning her old colt (about same age as Harmony), we have arranged that he can come to mine so he can have a youngster to play with, and one of mine goes o mum for company. Undecided as to who can be partners with the two youngsters, Herbie or Magic.
Will the colt be wanting to try anything on with Magic (who gets horny with geldings lol) or should I leave Herbie with them?

Thankies

How long a journey will it be? If it's only a few hours i would just keep going and dont stop, otherwise you might upset her more than she will be already.

Not sure about the colt trying anything on, i would imagine he'd be too young but then again you never know! lol. You could just try them together and play it by ear.

Congratulations by the way, how exciting

I'd travle her loose, no partitions and with the top doors shut. Up to a couple of hours I'd keep going. But traveling in a trailer is really hard work for them and very noisey etc so anything longer I'd be giving her a break or organising a lorry to take her.

How old is the colt and your filly?

sorry for the lateness of reply!
Filly will be 5 months, colt a few weeks older.
12 days
