I have a border collie, he has always been a manic skinny dog running around all day. Now at 12 he has recently had a minor op to remove a vascular tumour from his hind leg. He has recovered well from this and is bright as usual when he's out and about but now he has got even skinnier (about 19kgs) and his coat is awful, his back end is really just a fur covered skeleton and his coat is coming out all over the place, he's itchy, I have treated for fleas as all the dogs have suffered those recently, and he's been wormed with Drontal. He's eating well (Skinners maintenance and some tinned meat) and I've not noticed him drinking more. He does have a slight heart murmur but he's not on any medication. I know he has to go back to the vet this week, just wondered if anyone had any ideas?
