He'll be 2 in march, shireXhighland X arab! (yes, the odd retentive person might remember daddy was supposed to be a german warmblood, but then the breeder changed his mind and claimed daddy was an arab!)

That was our guess, except for the very pale mane!!

Found something called an apricot dun, which is the dun version of a golden chestnut with light mane and tail, which seems to fit him best!

There's certainly no palomino, so he can't be a dunalino

Besides being upright behind and a bit tied in at the knee, he does have a super colour going for him.

At first glance I though palomino, but them noticed the dorsal stripe!! Intersting and he may well change as he gets older??!! He has a lovely tail set and a nice length of rein, overall he is nicely put together and should make a lovely type!!

What age is he and what height do you reckon he will make. He looks quite ponylike in these pics but with some shire in there I would have thought he'd be quite big. Especially if you thought daddy was a hanoverian rather than an arab I guess you'd be expecting him to be quite big and with an arab sire he may be somewhat smaller?

it means his flexor is too close to the cannon just behind the knee...it could be that he is hairy there..throwing the eye.

He is 2 in march (so only 21 months old!) and he's 14.3hh at the withers!

I think that is his only shire quality!
