Colour changing kitten

A few weeks ago my husband and I rescued 2 kittens that had been abandoned at 4 weeks old. They are now 10 weeks old and doing better, although the little girl still has some cat flu. My question is, Monty is a standard brown tabby cat and Brierley is/was a black cat. When we took them to the vets, they told me she was a black tabby and that we would be able to see her stripes in certain lights. I've However, I've noticed that she's started getting grey hairs coming through on her head and back. On closer inspection yesterday, she tummy is nearly all grey and her back legs have also turned. Has this happened to anyone else? Will she become a silver tabby or a smokey grey cat? I would love to hear anyone else's experiences!

I've got one like it. He is nearly a year old and he was a black kitten. As he grew, he got silver stripes and he is now very marked, though his stripes are now going more brown than silver. He's a soppy, floppy boy

Could it be a fever coat if she has been poorly?
