I was given a shetland pony in the winter..she looked like this:

Great I thought..I have a little chestnut pony..but then she started shedding!! Where she was mealy/paler ie around her belly, between her legs and the tops of her legs she's gone silver with cream spots!!.. Like these photo's:

She also has the occasion white spot on her body and neck

What in the heck colour is she?...anyone know?

She is pretty. A lot of chestnuts get spots on them.

I am not expert, but I would say she was a light chestnut with flaxen mane and tail.
 
Well there's no dorsal stripe so I imagine that counts Dun out.. She's down on her passport as chestnut as thats what she was when she was done but she would hardly be recognised by it now..
