The colour calculator has let me down! I am not answering the right questions obviously. So I would be grateful if people can help please, purely out of curiosity.

Would I expect a reasonable chance of getting a palomino from this combination? Not that it really matters, but it's fun trying to second guess nature.

Palomino stallion with both parents palomino.
Chestnut overo mare with one palomino overo and one chestnut parent.

The foal can be either palomino (50%), cremello (25%) or chestnut (25%). My best friend breeds palominos, her palomino mare put to her palomino stallion had a cremello filly this year...... and a cremello colt last year

But the stallion has had 3 palomino foals from chestnut mares!

cremello + chestnut is the only guarantee of a palomino

palomino onto any other colour than chestnut but with chestnut in mare's genetics still only gives 25% chance of palomino
