Hi,
I got my results back today from Animal Genetics UK. So my mare who is a buckskin tobiano is AA (homozygous agouti) and is Ee (carries the red gene). She is also Heterozygous for tobiano gene.
She is to go in foal next year and I would love to ''try'' and re produce her colour. What would be the best colour of a tobiano stallion to do this with.
I want to breed a QUALITY foal not just on colour so if for instance one stallion gave me a 80% chance of buckskin tobiano and another gave me 50% chance however the 50% stallion would in theory be better suited to my mare I would obviously go for that option (if you get what I mean?)
Also, I don't have any idea of her breeding what so ever. Is there any way the colour genetic information I have would tell what colour her sire and dam were likely to be?
Thanks
