What is the judge looking for? How much does colouring/behaviour/presentation affect the placings? How do they distinguish between each horse as you can have piebalds/skewbalds as the more traditional but then your less traditional coloureds?

Manners, Movement , suitability and type are all considered. As for trads v colours then it judges preference. CHAPS is a good place to start and tradional gypsy cob association for trads. BSPS also good

I stand to be corrected, but I think conformation and way of going are most important, turnout also important, markings shouldn't really come into it - unless there are two equal in all other ways when markings may be the deciding factor.

Like any other show class though, I guess it depends quite a lot on the judge's personal preference :)
