I'm feeling a bit sorry for myself (not going to bore you with the whys) and as such I feel that a little remedial spend might be in order :D

Anyone ever seen any coloured flatwork boots? I have the stretch 'n' flex ones (white) for our flatwork, and I love them, but Monty Knobberts must be allergic to the colour white (I can think of no other reason why he tries so very hard to un-white them). We have green woof-wear brushing boots for hacking, but would love to get a coloured set of boots for school work... black bores me, but Knobber isn't exactly an advert for Daz. Any ideas?!

Violetstripe - I love the colour range you get in bandages but I'm avoiding them for a few of reasons: 1) Knobberts only stands for a limitted amount of faffing on my part... currently is faffing limit only just extends to me firing on boots :D 2) I often have to school in a very limited time period at 5.30am and boots are just so much quicker/easier for stupid o'clock! and, most dangerously, 3) I'd be afraid that once I get into bandages I'd get into matchy-matchy too much and I can't afford that!

Auslander - völlig unfair! If ONLY those last ones weren't open fronted. Boo! :D

Gillianclaude - nicely done! I KNEW I'd seen red and blue ones somewhere! I think they used to do green (all Knobberts' gear is green atm)... but sure maybe I can find a nice matching blue saddlecloth... I think he'd look good in blue. And I have a blue exercise sheet tucked away somewhere at home... and a blue headcollor... ooh! :D

ETA: I'm pretty sure I saw on their FB page a promotional money-off code too. Eep! :D

He could always have 2 colours. Green for good and blue for.. well.. his other good :p
Yeah they had a 25% off code I think. Go for it, you know you want to ;)

ETA, just checked. They still do do the green, but only in xxs. Can he squish into that?! Haha. Not sure why they didn't carry the colour on, maybe it wasn't as popular. Shame, because it was a nice colour! :(

Enfys! I nearly fell off my chair at them. Holy mother of divine Jaysus (as they say in these parts). Hahaha, I can only imagine the look on Knobberts's face if I landed in to him with those. There'd be a fight, there would! :D

Gillianclaude - well since you put it so well... 25% is a BIG saving ;) And I could totally get over 17 hands of ISH into xxs boots. :D

Violetstripe - thanks for the links! I think the club ones are what I use for hacking? If so then yeah they are a wee bit bulky - not quite as flexible as I'd like and he sweats a bit in them. But they do come in pretty colours! The E.C. links have no stock in blue (can't use red - he's too ginger :D), I really like those SMB ones on Derby House but I just saw the price of them too. Eep!

the premier equine boots are fab- got the burgundy ones for my boy in the sale. its worth giving them a ring cause they often get new deliveries before they update the website.
They've got a discount at the moment....so defo worth a look!!

I did just win one of their competitions via their fb page- so ive gotta lot of love for the PE peeps at the moment!

Ps...i think Monty would look fab in the blue zebra print!:D:D

B&A - Hehe, I worry that if I approached Monty with zebra print he'd think I might look fab on the floor with two rather large hoofprints in my behind :D

Auslander - I did it, I couldn't help it, I looked at the price :( But next to the price of those elite ones, the £62 for the ones above doesn't seem too bad...! And they're exactly his green! What do you think the chances of that £62 being for four boots (as opposed to two) are? Slim to non-existant, thinks I... ;)

I think I agree with you! Pretty though!

I put lime green bandages on my horse once. He was german, so very straight laced - I went to get my hat, and by the time i got back, he had removed one and was gumming it to death. We reverted to sensible black or poncy white after that...

Given the 25% off with Premier Equine, I've gone with them. Means I got four boots AND delivery for less than €50 :)

Monts comes up just a shade under 17.1 (sometimes comes up bigger when he's in his "I WANT MY DINNER" stance ) and he's quite drafty in his legs (registered ISH but only has a TB a couple of generations back!) so I've gone for L for fronts and XL for hinds.

Only thing is the boots are blue... so now I need a new saddlecloth. Anyone seen any lovely royal blue dressage saddlecloths?! :D
