Just wondered if people are members of CHAPS or BSPA or both?
Do you use your membership and get out and show? What have your experiences been like?

Am interested in what the CHAPS championships are like too. I am only a member of CHAPS. What is BSPA like?
Thankies....

G has a CHAPS passport, but I am no longer a member, though may renew this year.. will see. Only did CHAPS because there were more of their classes local to me than BSPA. However my cob did a few BSPA shows and they were very well organised and friendly, but few and far between for us.

It's just I keep joining with CHAPS and am not really using my membership. We're more doing dressage now. Wondered if BSPA might be any different.

I did reg. my horse to show him as a yearling and he got to champs and did really well in sportshorse class but since he has been ridden we just do bsja,bd and be .I'm not into showing so let my membership lapse, just used it to get him out and about as a baby

I was thinking of registering with CHAPS but can only see a couple of shows that are near me. Your horse (I presume is the one in your signature) looks gorgeous what is the breeding

Hi Jella.
Yes he's my horse. I don't have a clue re: breeding. He apparently came over from Ireland and was sold to me as a TBxID. I think there is some warmblood in there myself. What have you got?

BSPA has championship classes at Hickstead (although on a different day to everyone else!) and CHAPS has championship classes at HOYS. CHAPS classes are more plentiful in the north. They both have their own championship shows.
