Just thought id say how great it was to see "Apey" in the Horse and Hound this week. I was lucky enough to be assosiated with her for a couple of years and she is the best pony the world has ever seen, i even debate if she is the best horse/pony we have ever seen!!

I think she jumped on 10 european teams, countless nations cups and won approx. 12 european medals with 7 different riders!!

If you think about it, you would be pushed to find a horse with a better record!!

what do you all think??

What I would like to know is that has she not been used as a broodmare? Or had foals by embryo transfer? Surely she must have several foals on the ground by now!

When i was involved with her we did try embryo transfer but she was very difficult to get in season and get eggs from. Natasha Sewell finally got some eggs from her and has a 2 or 3 year old out of her by Indian de Here. I would of thought there may be others but dont know!!

Indeed it would be good to see her offspring in action. I always thought she was a bit like Stroller, more of a small horse than the usual pony, and thought she could have done very well in YR classes. So talented and not a "push button" ride.

The big difference though was stroller was pretty much 15hh, a full up 14.2. Colton was tiny and yes she may have not been "push button" to begin with, but once you found the buttons she was pretty easy, the thing that made her so easy is that she always wanted to jump the fence and clear the fence. that in respect made her easy, because wherever the kids put her she tried to get out the way of the fence where most ponies would be quite happy to have it down. I think she may have jumped YR in her younger days, but in her teenage years i dont think she would of had the stride, YR are so much bigger.
