New to owning colt, have two rescue ones approx 18 months. Going to get them gelded hopfully next months, but after months of work can now catch, groom and touch them and noticed that the testicles look a little strange (to me). They have now dropped at last but they both (both colts that is) have a small lump on the back of the testicles. Just wondered if this sounds right?

Epididymus is the collection of tubes at the back, shouldn't feel hard though i wouldn't have thought if that's what you mean, but might be a little cyst if so

Hi, thanks for the replys! They're not hard, just about the size of a broad bean and kind of squishy. I don't (didn't) think it could be anything much to worry about as they both have it, just wanted to check as i said i have never owned colts. Had experience of them but you tend to mess round there when it's not your horse!!! Tried researching the testicles but theres not much on the internet. Hopfully have the vet out to chop the poor boys next month anyway. Thanks again!
