Was thinking of having a go at pre-novice level at Barnadown later this summer, is it something those of you who have done it would recommend having a go at?

I did some novice combined training classes at Boswell with my older horse which were run in conjunction with dressage ireland, although you didn't have to be a member of DI to enter. Had to do a novice test and jump 1.10m. The prenovice class had to do a prelim test and jump 80-90cm. I'd definitely recommend it. It was fairly low key and great for youngsters or like in your case getting used to a new horse. I'm planning on doing some of the pre-novice CTs in Boswell with my youngster at the end of the summer.
