Your time is up!

Hard to believe this mutt was terrified of water, he now swims the length of the lake as we walk around the edge

And Spaniels can walk, look

Today I discovered how much he has become my dog. I had stopped and OH carried on down the path calling Otto, Otto wouldn't shift until I started walking again

It's nice to know someone loves me

My two won't even respond to a male voice

Poor OH, whenever he joins us, has to take an effeminate tone, his voice is quite bassy and when he says 'sit' they just stand and stare at him

Otto will do what OH says, but not if I tell him to do something else

I was really pleased with him today (Otto not OH, well actually OH too!)
OH has never had much to do with dogs and hasn't had much to do with Otto's training, but today he told Otto to walk at heel and he did!
He said that he would feel confident about taking him out on his own now and having him off the lead, which is a big step for OH and shows just how much better behaved Otto has become

My Friend (who lives in the main house) asked why OH had been shouting at the dog one morning, I was confused for a second until I realised she meant me

Obviously I have a deep voice and OH has quite a high voice, so Otto doesn't get too confused

Ha ha! I am a bit vocally intimidating too

It has been noted when we do the 'down out of motion' (where, during heelwork, I tell B to 'down' while I walk on without breaking my stride) people have jumped out of their skin when I have given the 'down' command

To quote one person: 'That is a hell of a big voice coming out of such a wee girl'

Glad to hear how well he is coming on, see, we get there in the end!
B did an awesome bit of passive-to-other-dogs work today, he stayed in sit with me out of sight as dogs/handlers walked past within a foot of him, my God, if you told me this time last year he'd be able to do that, bless him, he didn't bat an eyelid.

It is so rewarding knowing that they are only that way because of the hardwork you put in isn't it

I still grin like an idiot when Otto comes back to the whistle, today a couple of times he stopped what he was doing instantly and came back, I would never have believed it was possible!
When he was concerned that he couldn't see me today I almost cried, he just didn't care when we first got him, most dogs would panic when you went out of sight, not Otto he would just carry on doing whatever he had been doing!

And the other day we stopped to pick some Sloes, instead of running around, he came and stood next to us for the whole time we were stopped! That was something I would have never believed!!
