Hi everyone

I am thinking about buying a comfitec bridle based on a friends recommendation and was just wondering what other people's experiences are with them. Did you notice a difference in how your horse / pony went?

I am also torn on sizes I've tried measuring him based on their size chart but it's difficult to see what size he would need. He is a 14.1 cob so norm I'd buy a cob size but have read that these can come up small?

Thanks for your help

I’ve just trialled 7 different bridles including the comfitec.

horse went well on it and fitted really well/ better than current bridle ( full size / 15hh Connie x) but went even better in gfs prosperity which I bought

I've got one. I can't say ive noticed much difference but my instructor thinks it makes a difference and she notices more than me. Nice bridle, decent quality for the price. Mine is true to size.

Thank you. Sometimes as you ride everyday you don’t notice as much as someone that sees you once a week and they obviously have a better view from the ground ?

I like mine. The noseband really is a ‘nothing’ in that at how tight I have it he can still both cross or open his jaw really quite easily. But decent leather for the money and fits well. Cob size on 15.2 riding pony. I’ve just got the double version of it and so far so good there too.

I’ve recently bought one of these for my mare. She was in a flash before which I really didn’t like the fit of and neither did she. She’s going really well in the ComFiTec- more relaxed in her head and it fits her well. She was wearing a full size bridle before which had an extra hole punched for the cheek pieces as it was slightly too big. The full in the ComFiTec fits her perfectly.

Right that's it... I'm getting them one each. They do an extra full don't they? I've been looking at them for ages and wondering. But if the quality and fit is good then sod it I'm going to go for it.

I got one for my boy who hates a flash or a cavesson as he doesn't like anything touching that area of his face above the bit. He likes it, and is much more settled in the contact, and I think it's good quality.

He's a 17hh TB and I got a full. It fits round his ears well but the noseband is possibly a little big, although it's not tight so I'm not sure how much it matters!

Thumbs up from me. I think it's just a nice bridle.

so I ordered a cob and a full and neither fits ?he literally sits right in between the 2 size wise. So now I’m back looking for a nice new bridle any suggestions welcome ideally under £100

I ordered shorter cheekpieces for mine, the cob was too small and the full ok n the shortest holes, but it works with shorter cheeks? I also swap the monocrown flash noseband on to it every now and again, but I needed the full size for that too. I really like it.

It was across the nose I struggled most the cob was really tight and the full too loose ?. I’ve seen a couple of other brands do a similar design but wonder how they come up size wise in particular I saw a gfs one

I do like the look of the comfitec. My boy likes a good rub around the side of his face when I take his bridle off, which is saying there’s something about it that’s bothering him (not hugely as he goes well enough in it). Might give it a try if the sizing works. I need something that won’t rub around the poll as he has a ‘lumpy’ face (glands, due to melanoma).

now that lockdown is lifting, i might try a bridle fit person who’s been recommended to me, to make sure we get him something that fits as well as possible.
