Has anyone experiences with this seller/saddlery on eBay? i really like this bridle and haven't found another like it, it has the comfort headpiece and the nose band attaches at both sides and the cheek pieces run over the top of the head piece seperatly and it has a HUNTER style noseband and browband!
I don't want to buy it though and have it break after a few months as it will be used for everyday use and needs to look smart enough for cob classes :)

Anyone?

Bought that bridle in brown from them in the summer. Warning, it is a very red brown and does not match normal brown tack. Not only that, but they obviously use some sort of red dye to make it that colour! this red dye then came off all over my horses white face! I wiped and wiped and wiped it, but could never get it all off.

To be fair to the company, when I returned it they immediately gave me a full refund. I would deal with the company again, but would not buy leatherwork.

Gosh, they are cheap!
Ive just been looking at the comfort padded cavesson bridle.
Those who already have them ..... have you had them a while? Ive seen some cheaper bridles that have stretched.
Hmmmm, I want one now :)

Heather Moffett makes one where the nose piece slots through the cheek pieces so there is not an extra strap going over the head to pinch delicate skin

The leather is simply amazing, just like her saddles :D

I love Evison - have one of their comfort bridles which I adore, fantastic quality and very reasonably priced.

Have also found their customer service fab when I had a problem with a separate noseband which I later purchased (too small for my swamp hippo's huge head). :)

If you want to show then you want Havana Brown and not Black - and I have never seen a Comfort headpiece bridle of any sort, in a show cob class.
Although I accept that it's hardly visible.

To be fair my new Jefferies one did this too - it is ok now it has had a good clean and been used more

I've had lots of bridles in the past, and have had a bit come off before, but not like this bridle! I had it for 2 months and wiped it continually trying to get it all off and it never did. It was not a standard bridle problem. You could see patches on the underside where some of it did come off. They definitely do something different to other bridle manufacturers when they make it. It is not a normal problem.

It was also a RED dye that was left on my horses face and was not easy to get off!

I bought this bridle. Is a lovely bridle except the die coming out on to my white horses face. Had to clip my horse to get the dye off. Would recommend them though.

not just mine then... interesting. Was yours black or brown?

They gave me a full refund when I returned mine if you are unsure whether to do the same.

My WH saddle is black, my cob really suits black tack, since am not doing any serious showing as such the black will stay, but no doubt she will change shape as she gets bigger/fills out so i may well opt for havannah brown :)

Out of interest do you get marked down for having black tack?

Love my evision tack. I have 2 brown bridles. I love the red brown as it compliments my fleabitten grey perfectly. Had a bit of an issue with dye on the flash strap but a good clean of strap and horse sorted that out. I like how the headpiece connects to the noseband then there is a seperate strap over the head for the cheekpieces. Had it ffor 18 months at least and it looks like new. (used 6 times a week) They are also cut back round the ears a little which is why I chose them - horse was very sensitive and I had to chase her round to put bridle on. Now she stands with her her dropped for me to put it on. They are basically an excellent copy of an IR jefferies bridle - what I initially wanted but ££££! I do like the evision colour better though

You don't get "marked down" for black tack - because there are no marks! in BSHA cob classes but it is seen as an amateurish thing. That's not to disparage amateurs (I'm one!) but you would never see a professional show rider on a horse with black tack.
However (there are always them!) you do occasionally see M&Ms in black tack at County level.
It's not the end of the world, I just thought as you were buying new it might save you buying again later. TBH once oiled and worn in a lot of dark havana looks like black anyway.
