Comfrey

My mare has fractured her leg and am considering feeding her comfrey. Does anybody know how many days this will supply me for, and if anybody could reccommend anything better?

You should be able to buy this much cheaper than feedmark, Neal's Yard does a human version and you could try Cotswold Herbs see if they supply it, they have an internet site.

I also fed mine a handful of dried Marigold Heads in his feeds after his kissing spine op, this is also known as Calendular, it is very good for soft tissue healing, cuts and swelling if the surrounding area is damaged too. You can go into any health food store and buy it, expect to pay around £1 for 25g which should last you a 1-2 weeks

Whichever producer you buy from, ensure you have the correct doseage as comfrey can be toxic at the wrong level.
