Hi all, i have been treeless for many years and have used these:

They alleviated my knee pain when riding from the first time i rode in them, and I still have them on my Libra saddle. But have just got a Saddle Co saddle (for my big lad) and need some new leathers and irons as the caged ones just aren`t right with it, but the new ones must be comfortable for my knee.

Which are the best for achy knees?

I've got Sprengers on my dressage saddle but use caged endurance stirrups for all other stuff, including jumping. They are both super comfy to my achy knees.

You lot are brilliant :D .... Thank you, i shall look into all of the above, does anyone know what the difference is between the Sprenger System 4 and the Sprenger bow balance, is it just the shape? Thanks

I had the system 4's and loved them then tried the bow balance ones. The bow balance are more for jumping I presume as the treads are wider. I couldn't get on with them as they seemed heavy and cumbersome compared to the system 4's and so went back.

If you have achy knees fanny, you need to come and see me xxx your holding tension , however I rode the big fella last week came back with sore knees, bates leathers are lush! And you only have tiny feet so look up double bent leg irons on ebay, £14 , I dont know why all companies dont offer these, there not single bend there double, or get some ffs webbers,
