My filly is a dutch warmblood x thoroughbred, she is 2 years 4 months old. All comments welcome please also anything on confo would be good. Thanks x

not sure if it's just me but she looks to have quite upright pasterns? Nice looking filly though x

I think she looks a really nice sort. Nice build and proportions. Her pasterns are a little upright but nothing serious. What do you intend to use her for?

shes nice, my only comment/critique.... too hairy! lol pull that mane chop them feathers off and trim that tail then show me pics lol

Yes I know I can't believe myself, I have a TB because I hate hair! What am I doing! Anyone any advice on her pasterns though?

Hard to see her feet in the sand but it may be that your farrier could take a tiny bit more heel off while she's still growing? We has to do this with a youngster who looked like her legs went straight down from shoulder to ground!! If it's done slowly the tendons and ligaments will stretch gradually. Kinda like going from heels to flats!! TBH it's easier if done from when they are foals onwards. But if it's her natural state then prob not much you can do, and as it's a somewhat remedial thing, maybe best not to play around without an experienced farrier and vet opinion, if at all.
I thought sloping pasterns made for better shock absorption with jumping, but can put stress on the legs if they are too sloping. Something about shorter strides, esp as she looks like she has a fairly upright shoulder. Pastern should mirror shoulder angle I thought?
She looks lovely though, well done. Agree about the mane - my 3 yo had a transformation the spring she turned 3, and suddenly looked like a proper horse! I'd leave the mane now going into winter if you aren't showing her or anything - bit of extra protection from the wind and rain!

Ok that's great thanks for your help. Dont worry I took your advice she has had a major transformation, mane pulled, tail trimmed, feathers off!!! Looks beautiful! She is going to her first show in a few weeks...eek! She looks like a proper little horsey now Will post piccies soon x
