Common Older Horse Insurance Exemptions

I know that once a horse reaches a certain age it is exempt from being covered for certain things on insurance policies.

And although it is bound to differ from one company to the next I was just wondering if anyone knew the common things that become exempt on most policies no matter what company?

I'm not sure it is specific conditions that are exempt due to age. It is a while since I insured a veteran but many insurance companies have a cut off age after which they won't insure for vets fees at all other than due to accident. The age will vary from company to company as you said.
