No option for me.
Mine get done before they start work (from being roughed off), and then agaiun after 2 weeks work. They then get done whenever I/physio feel the need, my filly gets done every 2 weeks at the moment. Everything then gets done a week before/between every run. They then get done when they have their shoes off and go out in the field, and then again after 2 weeks.
think you have to be very careful. My chiro will only come out a max of every 3 months because she said if you play around with them too much it makes matters worse! Get my boy done every 3-6 months depending on if he needs it. Def 2ce a year.
I think your chliro is talking crap. Does she honestly expect a horse that runs over 3miles, 18 fences, on soft ground every 2 weeks, to last 3 months without a check? If I did that id have a yard full of lame horses.
I used to treat my back person the same as the EDT, i.e. twice a year (& this is what I'd recommend to the the average horse in average use). However, with the current mare, we tended to find soreness on every check-up which I wasn't happy with, so now I see her about every 3 months & it seems to suit the mare just right...
