Compact camera recommendations

I'm off on a riding holiday next week but think its time to upgrade my camera!

I'm no budding photographer but I do like a good picture has anyone got any recommendations for compact cameras capturing the action?

There's quite a few on the market but thought I'd see if I can get any of your opinions thank you in advance.

Will keep watch on this thread, I to, am looking for a camera as blackberry's are absolutely rubbish and the pictures they take come out blurry and really bad quality!!
