Companies sponsoring RDA ponies ?

As you may know by now, I am a volunteer at the RDA (Co. Durham). One of the things we have discussed between us is that maybe local companies (or even individuals) may like to sponsor a horse or pony, say for a year, paying maybe for shoes. And that company could use this in their advertising ? And have their name up in lights ? Tho where I don't know !

Any suggestions as to how this would work, and do you think any local firms would be interested ? Sorry, lots of questions - there are some cracking horses doing an amazing job, and I think a company might be proud to be involved with one of them ? I know other centres have done this - how do you go about it ?

Think its a great idea, however you need to make it "value for money" for the company too. When we've sponsored, we want a return on the investment, like banners up, article in local paper, details in programme/catalogue, link and details on website etc...

Are RDA able to help with the paraolympics? or do they have shows? maybe banners at the shows? I mean like this is "persons name" riding "horses name" sponsored by "company name".

Hmmmmmmm, I think we would want it on a more local level, just for the centre I'm at really. I am sure sponsorship is fraught with issues - but if local companies would be interested something may be worked out. We'll have to have a think.
