Companion pony

I have just taken on the rent of a field near my house and i am going to keep my coloured cob who is only just 8 months old in there. I am looking for a small companion pony that is either very cheap or am happy to have something on loan etc. Can be any age colour etc but no bigger than 13.2hh and must be able to live out 24/7. Does anyone know the best place to look for something like this?

I've always thought that when the time comes for us to buy our own land I would contact the local rescue centres as a first point of call. Can't hurt to ask

Blue cross are fab! have loads of companions, that they actually "do want to home" rather than loads of red tape that makes life hard to rehome these animals!

Project horses have a fair few companions, I have one but shes Lammi prone so wouldnt b e any good to you.

If you cant try to get some thing of around the same age - its important for youngsters to be able to play!
