Companion pony

It's highly likely I will be looking for a companion pony this spring summer. My nearest rescue is bransby but there is currently nothing suitable on their website. That's not to say there won't be by the time I'm seriously looking. I need a gelding ( non negotiable) about 14hh. No greys, none with pssm, ems, laminitis, cushings etc! Absolutely must be able to be left in field or stable quietly whilst I take horse out. Is rescue the right place to look? Could someone suggest anywhere else in south lincs? Open to a quiet youngster or older pony needing to retire. Or if anyone in the south lincs area knows of any lovely ponies that need a companion home please let me know. Thank you.

Also a shame you are not near me, as some of you know I've decided to retire coblet after his unsuccessful annular ligament surgery last spring and extensive rehab. We're devastated but I'm tentatively looking for a lovely companion home for him to just be a pony. He's a 14.1 gelding, aged 17, coloured, LW cob x but no history of lami etc infact is used to graze the grass before the yard fatties!

What a shame!! He sounds just what I'm looking for.
 
I'm on the Lancs/Yorks border , M62 corridor. If anyone has a large stable and all year round turn out available in the area, I would seriously consider moving him. Been on present yard 22 years, but it's becoming untenable.

maybe we should start a thread for people looking for companion ponies, as I'd definately let coblet go but only to the right home xx

Starting a page would be a good idea. Then people who wanted a companion could put on what they could offer and people looking for a home could do the same.
