****Before anyone Says , Im Not Advertising as He is not For Sale , Just need 5 star home for him ******

Anyone looking for a nice companion ?? Sound, fit , healthy Retired Stallion .Ex Champion Harness racer.
He is ride and drive, very friendly.
gets on well with other horses but doesnt really mind them overly , he will turn out with mares or geldings or alone.

Doesnt jump out or cause any problems .

Very laid back ,easy going , excellent with tractors, lorries etc .
Has travelled all over the uk in his racing days .
loves to have a job and hack out , I have only had him a few months but need to find him a good home due to my lack of time and grazing ,he had not been ridden for a year , but was more than happy to return to work , didnt bat an eyelid .

Lives in or out rugged up .loves his food.

If anyone is interested drop me a message, , Looking to keep in touch with new home , and his breeder would like to keep in touch too .

thanks xx

Maybe not all stallions could be a companion ,but he gets on well with geldings , obviously when he is with only all boys together , not with mares too or then there would be fighting : )
he has competed and travelled alongside mares , geldings and stallions all his life. I think it depends on each individual horse as some stallions cannot be kept with mares or geldings and are kept pretty much alone, and then others get on well with same sex or not .

xx

Not sure what you mean by saying he will turn out with mares? As clipcloppop says, a stallion is a stallion is a stallion, regardless of age! Turned out with mares, he'll do what stallions do and get them pregnant. Sorry, but as an entire male I don't see how you could expect him to be a companion. You also say he can be "turned out alone" and "loves to have a job and hack out" - that's not a companion's role hun - maybe if you advertised him differently? But I think you'll struggle to find a retirement home of any sort for a stallion, however nice his temperament. Good luck.

thanks guys ,yes it may be difficult to find a home for him so i thought it was worth a try mentioning him on here , in case anyone was looking for a horse to keep their own company and or hack out from time to time.

i say he can be turned out with mares , as some stallions cant be turned out with mares quietly , they badger them ,as if someone was interested in him and wished to breed from him, he has excellent bloodlines and some very successful offspring , he will turn out with mares, he doesnt bother them or bicker with them , he ignores them altogether until they go to him : )

He does enjoy hacking out from time to time, but also enjoys relaxing at home with his friends and some food !!

I have had a couple of people message me with some suggestions .

thanks xx
