Competing around Cheshire

Hiya, we're coming over from the Isle of Man for a week in August and staying in Nantwich. We're looking for unaffiliated show jumping competitions with in an hours ish drive of there, can anyone reccomend any competitions? Don't want to affiliate until next year when more trips will be happening, or if there are any ideas on how to work around this they'll be greatly appreciated!!

You may find it worthwhile to look on www.cheshirehorse.co.uk they have an events diary listed. Plenty of local venues though (look up Reaseheath, South View, Nantwich RC as a start too) and widen it out to an hour travel time and you'll have plenty to choose from!

South View and Reaseheath are both close to Nantwich.

You also have Tushingham around 1 hour drive away from there.

Check the local riding clubs- Nantwich, Reaseheath, East Cheshire, Delamere Forest and Antrobus are all close. There are other too.

Also Alsager Equestrian Centre have weekly unaff SJ and regular dressage evenings. There's XC at Smallwood Livery Centre, Kelsall Hill have BE course, XC training field, farm ride and a gallop. Delamere forest is lovely hacking too. There are other places too but you've probably got enough to be going on with there!
